Family & Community Services, Inc. will receive funding to purchase items and equipment for Joseph Early Learning Center, located in Mogadore. The mission of St. Joseph Early Learning Center is to provide quality care and early childhood education, and is designed to enhance the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of children birth through 5, as well as children in grades K-6.  This grant application was endorsed by McDonald’s Owner/Operator Chuck Galloway, owner of several McDonald’s restaurants in Portage County.

Family Promise of Summit County located in Akron received grant funds to purchase items and equipment to benefit children staying in their new Shelter Home for Homeless. Family Promise of Summit County meets the immediate basic needs of homeless families with children.   This grant application was endorsed by McDonald’s Owner/Operator John Blickle, owner of several restaurants in the Akron area.

Fieldstone Farm Therapeutic Riding Center located in Chagrin Falls will receive funding to purchase equipment to support their Children and Youth therapeutic equestrian programs. Fieldstone Farm engages the therapeutic power of our horses to discover and nurture the special abilities of individuals, families and communities.  This grant application was endorsed by McDonald’s Owner/Operator Margo Karos, owner of several McDonald’s restaurants Greater Cleveland.

Humility of Mary Housing

Humility of Mary Housing located in Akron received grant funding to purchase items and equipment to support their Children’s Program in HM Life Opportunities supportive housing program. Since 1854 the Sisters of the Humility of Mary have provided housing and services for children, immigrants and refugees, the elderly, and those in need of healthcare. This grant application was endorsed by McDonald’s Owner/Operator John Blickle, owner of several restaurants in the Akron area.

Orrville YMCA received grant funds to purchase items and equipment to support their Children & Youth programs. The mission of Orrville YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.  This grant application was endorsed by McDonald’s Operations Manager Awanda King, who manages over two dozen McDonald’s restaurants in Northeast and Northwest Ohio and Michigan.

RTY, Inc. Park Place Teen Center

RTY, Inc. located in New Philadelphia received grant funding to purchase items and equipment to support Park Place Teen Center. Park Place Teen Center was established in 2000 as a haven for teens to gather, enjoy their music, games, and each other’s company in a safe, secure environment.  This grant application was endorsed by McDonald’s Owner/Operator Vickie Lewis owner of several restaurants in Tuscarawas County.

Shelter Care, Inc.

Shelter Care, Inc., located in Akron received grant funding to purchase items and equipment to support their residential children’s programs. Shelter Care’s mission is to meet the needs of the community by empowering youth and families through community mental health services that include residential and non-residential treatment for youth between the ages of 6 and 21 years who manifest emotional, behavioral or social adjustment problems.   This grant application was endorsed by McDonald’s Owner/Operator John Blickle, owner of several restaurants in the Akron area.
