OhioGuidestone

Background

OhioGuidestone, located in Berea, will receive grant funds to purchase items and equipment to support Constructive Play for children at five area Family Life Child Care Centers located in Berea, Maple Heights, Lakewood, Central Cleveland and Brook Park. OhioGuidestone has been serving families in need for over 150 years. The mission of OhioGuidestone is “to provide pathways for growth, achievement, and lifelong success.” This grant application was endorsed by McDonald’s Owner/Operator Barbara Malafarina, owner of McDonald’s restaurants in Berea and Middleburg Heights.

Hanna Perkins Center for Child Development

Background

Hanna Perkins Center for Child Development, located in Shaker Heights, received grant funds to purchase furnishings, equipment and educational materials to support their Autism Spectrum Disorder Children’s Classroom. To foster the emotional well-being of children and their families and to help them master life’s challenges, The Hanna Perkins Center for Child Development promotes positive early learning experiences through educational and therapeutic services for children and parents; training and support for professionals and community-wide collaborations.

Cleveland Rape Crisis Center

Background

Cleveland Rape Crisis Center received a grant to purchase items and equipment to support the Crisis Intervention Services for Child Survivors of Rape and Sexual Abuse. Cleveland Rape Crisis Center supports survivors of rape and sexual abuse, promotes healing and prevention, and advocates for social change. Their vision is to eliminate sexual violence. This grant application was endorsed by McDonald’s Owner/Operator Meloney Karos, owner of several McDonald’s restaurants in Northeast Ohio.

America SCORES Cleveland

Background

America SCORES Cleveland was awarded grant funds to purchase items and equipment to support the Health and Literacy Youth Development Program. The mission of America SCORES Cleveland is to inspire urban youth to lead healthy lives, be engaged students, and have the confidence and character to make a difference in the world. This grant application was endorsed by McDonald’s Owner/Operator Robert J. Jursich, Jr., owner of several McDonald’s restaurants in the Cleveland area.
