The YWCA of Canton

Background

The YWCA of Canton was awarded a grant to purchase and install a playground for preschool and school aged children. The mission of the YWCA of Canton is to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peach, justice and dignity for all. WomenSafe, Inc.

Background

WomenSafe, Inc., located in Chardon, received a grant to purchase items, equipment and furnishings to benefit children and youth residing in the emergency domestic violence shelter and to support the Community Education Program aimed at area middle school and high school students. WomenSafe, Inc., is dedicated to providing emergency shelter and support services to survivors of domestic violence throughout Northeast Ohio. This grant application was endorsed by McDonald’s Owner/Operator Meloney Karos, owner of several McDonald’s® restaurants in the Greater Cleveland area.

The First Tee of Akron

Background

The First Tee of Akron, received a grant to purchase items and equipment to support their Lifeskills Experience program aimed at children and youth ages 7 – 18. The First Tee of Akron provides young people of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop life-enhancing values such as confidence, perseverance, and judgment through golf and character education. This grant application was endorsed by McDonald’s Owner/Operator John Blickle, owner of McDonald’s® restaurants in Akron/Summit County area.

Coleman Professional Services located in Kent, was awarded grant funds to purchase items, equipment and furnishings to support Coleman’s Child & Adolescent Services program at the Center of Excellence for Children. The mission of Coleman Professional Services is to improve the lives of individuals, families, businesses and the community through continuous improvement, customer responsiveness, and service efficiency and effectiveness. This grant application was endorsed by McDonald’s Owner/Operator Chuck Galloway, owner of McDonald’s® restaurants in the Kent area.
